Hi, I’m Pete George.
I provide coaching and training to help teams succeed together, as they learn together.
I have 20 years experience working with software development teams and have been coaching and training in Scrum/Agile since 2013. I am currently a Scrum Master in the UK, but also work with non-technical teams in a variety of sectors.
I also help run escape rooms, that use Belbin Team Roles theory to create escape challenges for informal and structured team building, in Cheltenham, Stourbridge and Kidderminster. I am a Belbin Accredited Practitioner.

Belbin Team Roles
I am a Belbin Accredited Practitioner and have found Belbin an essential tool for building teams.
There are many tools available to help build strong teams, and Belbin Team Roles is a long-standing and effective tool, used in a variety of sectors worldwide.
In the 1970s, Dr Meredith Belbin’s research into management teams identified nine separate clusters of behaviour, which he labelled “Team Roles”. Team members tend to be strong in some roles and weaker in others. By understanding their roles, team members can learn to work together better.
I have been a Scrum Master since 2013, and have coached and taught Scrum/Agile teams on four continents (so far).
Scrum offers a set of features to aid the delivery of products and projects in an increasingly complex world, but, at heart, it is a lightweight framework to enable a small, agile team of people to work together effectively.
The Scrum Framework, developed by Jeff Sutherland and Ken Schwaber in the early 1990s, has had a revolutionary impact on the technology sector, with many hugely successful tech businesses employing Scrum (or a Scrum-like variant). Although well known in software development, Scrum is increasingly used in a variety of contexts, to develop software, hardware, embedded software, networks of interacting function, autonomous vehicles, schools, government, marketing and managing the operation of organisations.

In 2018, I helped launch Escape Rooms Cheltenham, providing escape room challenges optimised to draw out Belbin Team Roles. This was followed by Escape Rooms Stourbridge and Escape Rooms Kidderminster, in 2019 & 2020 respectively.
Escape rooms are a fun entertainment concept in which a team of people are locked in a room and have to solve a series of puzzles to escape within a set time limit. They have been around about ten years and are popular across the world.
Escape rooms are an ideal team building activity, providing a unique opportunity for each team member to contribute to the shared goal of escaping the room.
